The 90-Day Senior Team Accelerator (STA) is a fully integrated leadership engagement that builds the collective capacity senior teams need to drive meaningful transformation. It combines individual development, team development, and real business challenge work in a single 75 to 90-day arc, producing visible results in leadership behavior, team dynamics, and business outcomes simultaneously.

Development on Two Levels at Once

Most executive team initiatives address either the individual or the team. The 90-Day Senior Team Accelerator addresses both, and does so in a way that makes each level stronger. Each leader works on a personally meaningful improvement goal tied to the demands of the transformation they are leading. At the same time, the senior team works together on a shared improvement goal, a core collective capability it must strengthen to execute its mission. Insights at one level continuously inform the other: the way a leader grows changes how they show up for the team, and the way the team evolves changes the context in which each individual is trying to grow.

Who It's For

TDE designed the 90-Day Senior Team Accelerator for senior leadership teams that know they need to lead differently now. We built it for one moment above all others: when the organization must transform, and the senior team must lead that transformation differently than it has led anything before. It is also well-suited for newly formed or recently restructured senior teams that need to establish a strong working foundation quickly.

The question it answers is not simply “What needs to change?” but “Who do we need to become as a senior team, and how do we get there fast enough to matter?”

The senior leadership team in the global supply chain organization of a Fortune 250 company needed to transform not just its strategy but its culture, shifting toward the levels of experimentation and cross-functional collaboration that a sweeping digital transformation demanded. The challenge wasn’t strategic clarity. The senior team itself needed to model and embody the new way of working before it could take hold in the broader organization.

Through the 90-Day Senior Team Accelerator, leaders surfaced the hidden assumptions that had been limiting that shift, in themselves and in the team as a system, and began testing new ways of working in real time. The results were visible and fast. Leaders began experimenting where they had previously played it safe, challenging one another where they had previously deferred, and making decisions they had stalled on for months. What This Produces, and Why It Matters Beyond the Senior Team

By the close of the engagement, senior teams consistently demonstrate stronger trust and openness in how they work together, clearer alignment around enterprise priorities, and shared ownership that extends across functional boundaries.

But the impact extends beyond the team itself. When a senior leadership team does this work visibly, developing together, experimenting together, holding each other accountable in the open, it becomes a model for the entire organization. The mindsets and behaviors that transformation requires don’t take hold at lower levels because they are mandated. They take hold because people see them demonstrated at the top. A senior team that leads this way sets the standard. In that same supply chain organization, the percentage of next-level leaders regularly experimenting to test assumptions rose from 31% to 100%. Supporting and challenging peers to grow moved from 18% to 73%. Knowing reliable steps to accelerate growth went from 37% to 93%.

The 90-Day Senior Team Accelerator Process

The engagement unfolds across two phases and three highly interactive workshops, with peer coaching and individual executive coaching running throughout both phases to support each leader’s reflection and forward movement.

Step 1

The Developmental Sprint® Launch Workshop

Each leader builds an individual Immunity to Change® map around a personally meaningful improvement goal tied to the transformation they are leading. The senior team simultaneously builds a collective map around a shared goal: a core capability it must strengthen to lead the organization well. Both generate experiments to test in real work.

Step 2

Experimentation in Real Work

Individual, shared, and team-level experiments run simultaneously throughout Phase 1. Leaders test new ways of thinking, decision-making, and shared accountability in real meetings and moments of pressure. Insights at one level inform the others.

Step 3

Peer Coaching

Senior team members meet weekly in peer coaching groups to share experiments and reflections. The groups follow a structured developmental protocol that requires the precise behaviors the transformation demands: genuine inquiry, honest challenge, and mutual accountability. This process is where trust deepens, blind spots surface, and the habits the organization needs to build at scale begin to take hold at the top.

Step 4

Transition Workshop and the Developmental Workout®

A Transition Workshop bridges developmental insight from the Sprint to the most important business challenges senior leaders face now. Each leader identifies a Current Business Challenge: a real, unresolved priority that requires a different way of thinking. Working in peer coaching groups, leaders help one another surface blind spots and generate fresh approaches. In helping others see past their assumptions, each leader gains a new perspective on their own.

Step 5

Closing Workshop

The senior team examines what shifted in individual leadership, collective capability, and business outcomes. It defines the shared commitments and ways of working required for sustained performance as one team, ensuring that what the group builds in 90 days becomes how it operates going forward, and how it leads the transformation ahead.
